OUR HISTORY

David L. Shepard, Inc. was founded in 1978 by its namesake, David L. Shepard. With its original location on Merrimac St in Newburyport, Massachusetts, Dave built the business to serve as an auto body repair shop, a mechanical repair shop, as well as specializing in fiberglass yacht repair and service.  Since then, our focus now is only on automotive repair and body work.

Our commitment to providing exceptional automotive repair service allowed us to grow immensely throughout the first decade. Due to our facility expanding over the years, our loyal customer base proved to be too much for our downtown waterfront space. In the fall of 1988, David L. Shepard, Inc. moved to its current location at 4 Parker Street in Newburyport, MA.

Our 4500 square foot facility houses 8 repair bays throughout our dedicated shop space to ensure your repair process is accomplished in a streamlined manner.
